Your mission

Are you ready to transform how transportation data drives decision-making? We are looking for a Transportation Data Analyst, who will integrate data and develop automated reporting tools, create end-to-end transparency on costs and emissions, and deliver the insights needed to power smarter sourcing and operations. 

 

This position will be based in The Netherlands, Meppel with a one-year fiexed-term contract. 

 

Key responsibilities

Analyze and monitor freight costs, savings, accruals, and recovery processes, providing monthly reports and insights on carrier performance, emissions, and KPIs.

Manage and maintain carrier rate tables for setting up, updating, and validating rates in payment processes, reporting and TMS systems.

Audit sample freight invoices for accuracy against contracts and service agreements, ensuring alignment with rate tables and negotiated terms.

Design, develop, and automate scalable reporting and analytics solutions using Excel, Looker Studio, BigQuery, and similar tools, reducing manual effort and enabling consistent, near-real-time visibility.

Support RFQ and carrier rate negotiations by preparing data-driven cost scenarios and benchmarking.

Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency, and automation.

Ensure data quality, accuracy, and alignment across multiple systems and sources.

Collaborate with sourcing, operations, finance, and IT to integrate transport, cost, and sustainability data into one coherent view.

Support project management initiatives, ensuring deliverables and timelines are achieved.

Train and guide stakeholders in using dashboards, tools, and reports effectively. 

Accuracy, timeliness, and automation of reports and dashboards.

Implementation and maintenance of core KPIs: costs, savings, service levels, emissions, recoveries.

Translate Data findings into actionable opportunities towards cost savings, operational efficiency and sustainability improvements.

Data consistency and integration across systems and stakeholders.

Successful delivery of project milestones and reporting initiatives.

Stakeholder satisfaction with data insights and tools. CO₂, cost, and performance visibility

What we are looking for

Bachelor’s or Master’s in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, or related field

5+ years of experience in data analytics, ideally in transportation, logistics, or supply chain.

Proven record of accomplishment of developing dashboards, automated reports, and data solutions.

Advanced Experience with Excel (complex formulas), SQL, BigQuery, Looker Studio (or similar BI tools).

Familiarity with TMS/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and integration is an advantage.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to connect data with business and financial outcomes.

Project and stakeholder management skills.

Solid understanding of freight costs, recovery processes, and KPIs.

Strong communication and presentation abilities.

Embraces automation, digitalization, and efficiency.

Detail-oriented with high data accuracy standards

Fluency in English 

Ability to visit the office 2 or 3 times a week; hybrid model of work.
