We're seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven professional to help coordinate essential transportation services for individuals with mobility, financial, or access challenges across our region. In this role, you will not be the primary one be behind the wheel - but you'll be the one ensuring hundreds of life-changing rides happen every week and that you have a "all hands on deck" mentality with the ability to get behind the wheel when the organization needs it most.

Temp-to-Hire | Full Time | 40 Hours Per Week

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Compensation: $16 - 18 per hour + Benefits + Ongoing Training & Development

Responsibilities:
What you'll be doing:

Answer inbound calls, provide ride-related information, and refer clients to appropriate services

Schedule, authorize, and dispatch rides using transportation software ??? ensuring accuracy and timeliness

Coordinate with drivers throughout the day to adjust routes and maintain on-time performance

Serve as a backup driver when needed to ensure no rider is left behind

Review daily logs and fare collection records from drivers; follow up on discrepancies

Collect and process cash fares with attention to detail and documentation

Maintain files, service records, and reports ??? ensuring compliance with agency policies and funding requirements

Track and analyze ridership data to identify trends and improve service delivery

Foster teamwork and communication across dispatchers, drivers, and department staff

Follow all federal, state, and internal policies related to safety, confidentiality, and operational procedure

Working hours: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

2+ years' prior experience with dispatching, routing

1+ years prior experience within an administrative office or support role

A valid Florida driver's license and willingness to drive agency vehicle as needed
Comfort navigating scheduling software and detailed reporting

A people-first mindset with a high standard for service and accuracy

Familiarity with Medicaid-funded or community-based transportation programs (a plus)

Education:
High School
