Job DescriptionDue to continued growth our Duckmanton site are now recruiting for a Transport Sub Contract Planner to join their friendly team on a on a full time permanent basis.
Salary: £30,888 per annum.
Working hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.
As a Transport Sub Contract Planner you will be responsible for for sourcing Sub Contract partners to support in the delivery of goods from various Warehouse locations in the UK.
The successful applicant should have experienced within a Sub Contract and Transport planning department, have excellent communication skills with a proactive and positive approach.
Job responsibilities of a Transport Sub Contract Planner include:
Offering work to Sub Contractors on a D1-D3 basis ensuring financial targets are achieved.Ensuring the Transport Management System (TMS), is updated with the correct information and is aligned with the Warehouse Management System (WMS).Managing KPI performance by haulier.Sourcing and accurately setting up new hauliers systemically ensuring that all haulier packs are completed in full and are accompanied by correct GIT insurance / O Licence documentation. All T&Cs agreed.Monitoring of all haulier documentation ensuring that new in date certification is supplied and updated systemically.Ensure Hauliers arrive at the designated collection time.Carrying out Quarterly review meetings with hauliers.Liaising with staff at other depots and external contacts.Sourcing additional work from both internal and external business for own fleet.QualificationsPrevious experience gained in a similar role is essential.Excellent administration skills and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment.Able to work using own initiative and with little supervision.Good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Excel, Word, Outlook (or equivalent).
