We're now looking for a Transport First Line Manager play a key role ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently, delivering goods safely and on time.

✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

\n\nDay to day managing driver attendance, driving and working hours, briefing drivers\nWorking with Microlise, Tachomaster, managing infringements and WTD as well as DT\nCommunicating changes in plan, failuires of deliveries or ETA to stores and customer\nEnsuring vehicles are booked for service and following maintenance policies, keeping service schedule, defect schedule and VOR list up to date\nTo directly assist Management by coordinating and generating the shipping requirements for distribution routes, from warehouse to end-user, maintaining precise and up-to-date reports\nTo supervise, implement and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct line reports, ensuring that all deadlines are safely met within allocated time frames, while always maintaining standards of excellence\nTo track and trace shipping orders using a digital in-house tracking software system, ensuring that records are maintained and kept at optimum level\n\n

✅THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

\n\nPrevious and practical experience as a Transport Supervisor or Team Leader within a logistics environment\nComprehensive knowledge of supply chain practices\nComputer literate with a practical knowledge of logistics software packages - Tachomaster - Microlise\nExcellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to supervise, organise and train direct reports\nA recognised qualification in Supply Chain Management or Logistics will be well-received\n\n
