Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a Transport Coordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Barrow Upon Soar site, working Monday to Friday on the afternoon shift.

 

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £29,000. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other benefits.

 

What you’ll do on a typical day:

To support and assist the shift supervisor in executing the traffic plan, dispatching drivers to achieve contractual delivery times and conducting remedial planning to effectively manage live changes. Overseeing load timing and bay planning to ensure correct load dispatching. To ensure all administrative traffic duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism in systems and on paperwork. To ensure that defected vehicles are recorded on traffic sheets and that the defects are managed to ensure quick turnaround. Support the contractual safety and quality initiatives and obligations.

 

What you need to succeed in this role at XPO:

Working knowledge of driver hours regulations would be an advantage. Good communication skills. Organised and logical approach. Working knowledge of systems generally and aptitude for learning and developing. Good knowledge of health and safety standards would be an advantage also.
