The Transport and Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and monitoring supporting IMEX activities across multiple shipping points within the European region. The role is based at Newcastle, UK. Primary objective is to ensure clearance of all goods both importing and exporting and timely delivery to end customer. This position reports to the Senior Manager Global Supply Chain and is part of the Global Supply Chain team located in Newcastle, UK and will be an on-site role. The essential requirements of the job include: + Minimum two years’ experience in the Field of Importation and Exportation within UK and EU based areas + Proven background in working with External Freight Partners, as a minimum creating and working to strict KPI’s and implementing countermeasures and action + Two years minimum experience working with Custom House Brokerage firms in the area of documentation required for clearance Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: + Travel expectations for this role are Low (<15%) It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure with strong organizational skills + Demonstrates attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness, monitors own work to ensure quality. + Customer Service and negotiation skills #LI-Onsite N/A Join our winning team today.
