Job Description

We would like to present you with an opportunity for a Transport Administration Supervisor to join our team at our  Markham Vale site on a full time permanent basis!

Salary: £30,889 per annum.

Working Hours: Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm.

As a Transport Administrator Supervisor you will maintain and update fleet systems, monitor account usage, analyse and report on utilisation of resources and compliance with company procedure.

Job responsibilities of a Transport Administrator Supervisor include:

Monitoring and managing trailer tracking, providing daily statistics.Co-ordinate trailer operation between both transport and warehouse, to ensure effective operational performance.Ensuring that any MOT or servicing schedules are met within the agreed timescales and paperwork is maintained.Managing on-site fleet services, to ensure suitable vehicle and trailer turnaround times, progressing any part requirements, chasing down ETA’s and providing periodic updates.Upkeep of all appropriate reporting suites.Aiding the Transport Manager and Transport Operations Manager with sourcing additional kit for peak periods.Responsibility for any on-site contractors (related to transport functions) and their control through the EOA.Liaising with drivers to ensure that any defects raised are both recorded and dealt with in a timely manner.Managing the process for ensuring compliance on key internal and external audits.

QualificationsGood commercial knowledge of transport operations.Strong communication skills in order to deliver accurate information.Strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to network with suppliers and customers.Able to work as part of a team and to clearly demonstrate a professional attitude towards all colleagues.Budget management desirable but not necessary, as training will be given.Effectively prioritise work load in order to meet set deadlines.PC Literate in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.Working knowledge of WMS systems would be useful but not essential.
