The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: Under the direction of the AVP, Transplant Division and the Manager, Business Development and Outreach, this individual works collaboratively with leadership and the various constituencies of the hospital (Public Relations, Community Affairs, A/V Communications etc.) and community to achieve Division goals specifically related to increased patient access to transplant care, patient and provider satisfaction, quality performance and initiatives and facility/program recognition. Responsibilities center around outreach, programming and marketing for the Renal/Pancreas Transplant Division and include such things as: Division Programming (Designee and Patient Symposia; Academic Symposia; Seminars; Outreach events etc,); Cultivates and maintains relationships with referring nephrologists and dialysis units to facilitate patient care; Facilitates dialysis unit site-visits to provide both staff and patient education on transplantation; Develops, maintains and analyzes database of referral sources to track outreach efforts and outcomes; Assists with editing, writing and designing educational brochures, newsletters, presentations and outreach materials; Reviews marketing/advertising opportunities available by thorough market analysis and business development strategies; Promotes and oversees satellite facilities scheduling and day to day operations. Qualifications: Required: + Requires bachelor s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or related area + Minimum of two to three years of direct experience in planning and coordinating advertising and public relations initiatives, preferably in healthcare or a geographically dispersed setting. + Drivers license and vehicle required Scheduling Requirements: + Days + FT Essential Functions: + Must have knowledge of communications and public relations within a diverse organization + Strong organizational and planning skills, excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) + Ability to work well with physicians, corporate executives, healthcare professionals and the general public.
