Job Title: Transmission Line Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a Transmission Line Engineer to lead our Power Delivery Team in Florida, primarily supporting projects with major utility companies. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the technical execution of high voltage electrical transmission line projects of any size and complexity, ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality standards.

ResponsibilitiesLead the overall technical direction of projects.Provide scope and schedule support to the Project Manager, including work breakdown structure development, implementation, change management, and schedule management.Support budget management for proposal development, progress assessment, and change management.Lead multiple projects concurrently, utilizing teams in different locations.Understand and implement internal and client management system requirements, processes, and procedures to deliver high-quality products.Perform quality reviews and participate in quality control or project reviews for peers and other project teams.Coordinate with operations leaders and the Project Manager for resource planning and management.Work independently and direct, mentor, train, and supervise Engineers, Designers, and administrative staff.Coordinate the work of engineers and the team throughout the entire project life cycle.Engage in mentoring or training relationships with junior engineers or designers.Essential SkillsExperience with PLS CADD and PLS-Pole is essential.1+ years of Transmission Line Design experience.National Electrical Safety Code (NESC) knowledge.Strong communication and organizational skills.Leadership skills and a willingness to learn.BS degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering from an ABET-Accredited institution.Additional Skills & QualificationsProfessional Engineer (PE) or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is a plus.Experience in structure analysis, project cost estimates, plan and profile preparation, load and designs, specifications and drawings, permitting, and other engineering documents.Previous experience with an engineering consulting firm.Work Environment

The position is based in our downtown Orlando office, which houses about 80 employees from various engineering disciplines, including Civil, Transportation, Roadway, Building, Water, Airport, MEP, and Federal. The office is located in a beautiful building across the street from Lake Eola, offering convenient parking and a variety of food and entertainment options within walking distance. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, Florida.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $48.00/hr.
