The Opportunity:
This position is responsible for the implementation of translation assets (text, voice, video, etc) for our eLearning course library. This is a busy, high-volume but friendly environment that will suit an organized person with a great eye for detail. This position will report to the Translations Team Lead and may require working with the Translations Project Manager. Key Responsibilities:Balances multiple projects in a fast-paced environmentMeets tight deadlinesLocates and filters translation/proofreader/voiceover resourcesCommunications with team and all vendors or contractors as neededManages files -- from translation through internal review to final delivery -- using internal and external resourcesProofs and edits projects for completeness, formatting accuracy, and linguistic qualityMakes sure content adheres to our quality standardsLocalizes content as needed per our dept standardsApplies translations and voiceover to web-based courses utilizing various softwareEducation and Experience At least 2 years of experience in the translation industry (or similar media-based industry), including subject matter expertise in localization tools and processes across multiple content typesTranslation Memory/CAT Tools knowledge preferred (We use WordFast) but not requiredKnowledge of translation industry standards and best practices preferred but not requiredProven track record of managing complex projects involving external resourcesDemonstrated ability to be an intelligent, creative, self-reliant, self-organizing problem solver while working in a team environmentExperience leveraging technology to solve workflow problems and increase efficiencyStrong proofreading skills and thorough knowledge of quality control a musteLearning experience preferredExperience with XML, HTML, CSS, and sound/voiceover editing software preferredAbility to read or write a second language preferredCompetencyGreat organizational and time-management skillsGreat attention to detail and a commitment to get the job done rightStrong grammatical, prioritization, communication and collaboration skillsStrong attention to detailStrong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to manage and resolve conflictAbility to articulate learning terminology and processes with non-training personnelAbility to work successfully with a global, virtual teamCompetent with Microsoft OfficeAbility to meet deadlinesStrong problem solving skillsProven ability to maintain a solution driven approach and adapt to new processes, workflows and challengesStrong fluency in English

Ziff Davis provides a range for the base pay. Factors that may be used to determine your actual pay may include your specific job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic location. The salary compensation for this role is 20,000 MXN to 25,000 MXN. Individual pay within the compensation range for this business unit specific role is determined based on a variety of factors including experience, scope of the role, capabilities to perform the role, education and training, as well as business and company performance.
