The goal of this internship is to provide the opportunity for an individual to gain hands-on research experience and learn about drug metabolism in the pharmaceutical industry. The duration of the internship is 10-12 weeks, and the start and end dates are flexible. **You will be responsible** + Designing and executing in vitro assays with small molecules utilizing hepatocytes, sub-cellular fractions, or recombinant enzymes + Reviewing scientific literature and summarizing key findings to inform assay strategy + Analytical LC-MS/MS method development, bioanalysis, and troubleshooting + Performing data analysis and presenting key scientific findings + Maintaining an accurate lab notebook **Qualifications / Requirements:** + Completion of Undergraduate Freshman year at an accredited University is required. + Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, or other life science related field at an accredited University or College throughout the duration of the internship. + Previous hands-on laboratory experience. + Candidates must be self-motivated, organized, and have excellent problem-solving skills. + Skilled in utilization of computer programs such as Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. **Preferred:** + Understanding and/or experience with enzyme kinetics and mass spectrometry. + Experience handling cells and/or sub-cellular fractions.
