In the role of Transit Digital Design Lead, we'll count on you to:Work for a specific discipline, with no direction from the Architect/Engineer or other technical professionalBe responsible for their discipline model and will generate the BIM elements, based on the Level of Development (LOD) outlined in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scopeCreate and maintain the discipline model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output for that disciplineTo be skilled with the software used to produce the designs identified in the Digital Delivery requirementsHave mastered their specific discipline and how it interacts with other discipline designsHave an advanced understanding of architectural/engineering documentation and plan presentation for all disciplinesMentor and develop the Digital Design staff within their disciplineAccurately model BIM elements in the correct special constraints of the modeling environment, using the current 3D softwarePrepare detailed drawings, layouts, diagrams of the design within the project scope, schedule, and budget, using the current 3D softwareMaintain the discipline model including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, and sheetsProduce discipline specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling outputMonitor, improve, and maintain company standards and model health. Coordinate the design with other discipline models through Design Reviews and 3D Coordination processesExecute all Digital Delivery requirements identified on the projectMentor and develop Digital Design staff within their disciplineContribute to the development of the business class digital needs

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent professional skills in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation Inroads and Open Roads.Engineering Degree in Civil engineering or related field.California Professional Engineer (PE) or a desire to become a licensed PE preferred

Required Qualifications
Technical degree or a combination of education and relevant experienceA minimum of 5 years digital design (BIM element authoring) and  5 years digital delivery (model management) experienceComprehensive understanding of all discipline relations and operations of building systems   Advanced skillset of 3D design software and document management infrastructureAdvanced skillset of 3D Coordination toolsAdvanced skillset of Microsoft Office products and communication toolsFamiliar with industry standards and practices, along with discipline codes and specificationsFamiliar with basic automation and programming applications for efficienciesFamiliar with 3D design software add-ins and supporting applicationsFamiliar with content creation and management conceptsSuperior client service, communication, and presentation skills are essentialDemonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively serve as a first line of technical supportExcellent communication skills, attention to detail and leadership traits are essentialMust have strong organizational skills to establish priorities between technical support requests and project workMust be enthusiastic, energetic, and an excellent work ethic

The expected compensation range for this position is $103,000 - $150,000 and depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.)
