Transformation Accounting Manager
Transformation Accounting Manager Job Description The Transformation Accounting Specialist is responsible for driving organizational change within the accounting function. This role involves collaborating with Accounting Operations and Controllership teams to enhance efficiency and align processes with business goals. The position requires evaluating current practices, leading automation efforts, and ensuring SOX compliance and the implementation of internal controls. The ideal candidate will excel in project management, automation, and change management to ensure the success of transformation initiatives. Responsibilities + Create and implement strategic plans for accounting transformation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and alignment with business objectives. + Analyze existing accounting procedures and systems, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement solutions to streamline workflows and improve accuracy. + Oversee the execution of transformation projects, including project planning, resource allocation, risk management, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful outcomes. + Develop and implement standardized operating procedures to ensure consistent and compliant accounting practices across the organization. + Collaborate closely with Data Warehouse, IT, and Accounting operational teams to align transformation efforts with business goals and drive integration. + Lead initiatives to automate manual accounting tasks, leveraging technology to enhance process efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. + Monitor and ensure adherence to established accounting processes, internal controls, and regulatory requirements, while supporting compliance and risk assessment. + Assess the impact of implemented changes, adjusting strategies as needed to optimize outcomes and ensure sustainable improvements. + Provide leadership and guidance to accounting teams throughout the transformation process, promoting professional development and a culture of ongoing improvement. + Design and implement training programs for accounting staff to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to adapt to new processes and technologies effectively. + Perform additional job-related duties as needed. Essential Skills + Proven track record in successfully leading and managing complex accounting transformation projects. + Strong analytical mindset with the ability to assess data, identify trends, and formulate actionable insights. + Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building consensus and driving collaboration across diverse teams. + Excellent project management, automation, and change management skills. + In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and internal controls. + Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience in system implementation and customization preferred. + Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. + Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, complex, highly matrixed organization. + Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills. + Strong program/project management skills. + Management experience including assessing resource needs, goal setting, performance management, training and development, and achieving objectives through others. + Highly analytical, solutions-oriented, and able to see the 'big picture'. + Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Lead accounting transformation initiatives, including ERP and tool implementations. + Analyze accounting pain points across people, processes, and systems. + Develop roadmaps for large-scale improvements, often involving procurement and automation. + Evaluate and implement RPA (Robotic Process Automation) solutions. + Collaborate with Controllers and Directors to assess ROI and time savings. + Act as a bridge between accounting, IT, and shared services. + Drive continuous improvement and proactively identify areas for optimization. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $130000.00/yr. • Bonus: 10% (with potential payouts up to 200%)• Equity: 15%• Travel perk: 95% off Workplace Type This is a hybrid position in Miami,FL.
