Transcultural Health Registered Nurse
Job Summary The Transcultural Health Nurse is dedicated to ensuring consistent, high-quality, individualized, and culturally responsive care for all patients and actively supports systemwide initiatives to address clinical gaps and social drivers of health. Provides resources and education that allow patient-facing team members to improve patient experience through culturally and linguistically appropriate care. Collaborates directly with clinical team members and members of the leadership team. Designs and implements ongoing education to facilitate understanding and implementation of transcultural health and health equity standards and principles. Coordinates efforts with key stakeholders to determine the needs for support and consultation. The successful team member has a commitment to closing healthcare gaps in support of safe and quality care. In addition to working to enhance the experience of patients in acute care facilities and ambulatory care venues, the Transcultural Health RN will partner with the Community Health Services to provide subject matter expertise for the community-at-large. All aspects of the role require competencies in working with populations with unique lived circumstances, culture/mores, and intersectionality. Qualifications + Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, required. Bachelor’s degree in nursing, required. Graduate Degree, preferred. + Experience: 5+ years demonstrated leadership experience, preferred.
