As **Training Technician,** you will lead the development and delivery of engaging, hands-on training sessions covering a wide range of topics including Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S), Quality Management Systems (QMS), Continuous Improvement, and Standard Work. You will act as a key contact for all training related activities, ensuring alignment with site goals and compliance with corporate standards. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying training needs, implementing effective learning solutions, and maintaining accurate training records. You will also support seasonal operational tasks in the plant, field, and warehouse, adapting training content to meet evolving business needs. **Your Challenge:** + Responsible for creating and providing training to all employees, contractors, and external partners to ensure a thorough understanding of Corteva’s safety standards programs, quality standards, Quality Management Systems, continuous improvement, etc. + Lead training, communication, and education efforts with enthusiasm and energy + Ensure the completeness and maintenance of all records, documents, or reports related to training + Perform a variety of tasks associated with general plant, field, and warehouse operations that evolve with each season throughout the year + Develop and implement hands-on, engaging training programs for employees on a variety of safety subjects, utilize effectiveness evaluation methods and auditing processes to ensure adequacy + Perform related administrative duties, including taking safety meeting minutes, writing/maintaining operational safety documentation, and tracking employee training requirements + Train employees on our Learning Management System platform + Determine training needs and requirements for the location on the following topics: EHS&S (Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security), Continuous Improvement, Quality Management System, Standard Work, and Process Work Instructions + Lead safety standard owners in assigned requirements per EHS&S standards through annual meetings and action plans + Implement, develop, and sustain site work instructions as needed related to safety/training + Assist and prepare reports, graphs, and presentation materials to communicate key safety statistics + Conduct site tours as needed + Conduct site hands-on training as needed (Employee Area Orientations, forklift operations, fall protection, safety standard requirements, etc.) + Reiterate and role model the importance of Corteva’s Values and Living Safely + Conduct line walks while engaging with the teams to ensure efficiency and understanding of daily job tasks in production operations + Act as stand-in Safety Supervisor when needed + Act as liaison with contract labor agencies regarding training requirements - communicate with and ensure contract agencies are training their employees on the required policies and procedures + Various other duties as assigned **Key Stakeholders and Interactions** **:** Working with all employees, contractors, and external partners to ensure a thorough understanding of Corteva’s safety standards. **Location:** Kroonstad, Free State (100% Site Dedicated) **To Grow What Matters, You Will Need** + Grade 12 and related Qualifications essential + Previous EH&S and Quality Training experience, education, and demonstrated skills including coaching, and leading others in operations, manufacturing, agriculture, or warehousing essential + Knowledge or experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Continuous Improvement, and Standardized Work beneficial + Creativity to keep materials interesting and fresh and have proven your ability to translate complex technical information into easily understood training content + Execute tasks in a timely manner and prioritize work according to business needs + Demonstrate integrity and promote a positive working environment by being an initiative-taker and willing to assist team members consistently + Working independently as well as in a team environment + Be comfortable with technology and possess excellent computer skills including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Forms, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company-specific applications as required + Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers + High attention to detail - can multitask, maintain an organized workplace, and have excellent problem-solving skills + Value health and safety!
