We’re hiring a Training Technician.

As Training Technician, you will lead the development and delivery of engaging, hands-on training sessions covering a wide range of topics including Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S), Quality Management Systems (QMS), Continuous Improvement, and Standard Work. You will act as a key contact for all training related activities, ensuring alignment with site goals and compliance with corporate standards.
This role requires a proactive approach to identifying training needs, implementing effective learning solutions, and maintaining accurate training records. You will also support seasonal operational tasks in the plant, field, and warehouse, adapting training content to meet evolving business needs.
Your Challenge:
Responsible for creating and providing training to all employees, contractors, and external partners to ensure a thorough understanding of Corteva’s safety standards programs, quality standards, Quality Management Systems, continuous improvement, etc.Lead training, communication, and education efforts with enthusiasm and energyEnsure the completeness and maintenance of all records, documents, or reports related to trainingPerform a variety of tasks associated with general plant, field, and warehouse operations that evolve with each season throughout the yearDevelop and implement hands-on, engaging training programs for employees on a variety of safety subjects, utilize effectiveness evaluation methods and auditing processes to ensure adequacyPerform related administrative duties, including taking safety meeting minutes, writing/maintaining operational safety documentation, and tracking employee training requirementsTrain employees on our Learning Management System platformDetermine training needs and requirements for the location on the following topics: EHS&S (Environmental, Health, Safety, and Security), Continuous Improvement, Quality Management System, Standard Work, and Process Work InstructionsLead safety standard owners in assigned requirements per EHS&S standards through annual meetings and action plansImplement, develop, and sustain site work instructions as needed related to safety/trainingAssist and prepare reports, graphs, and presentation materials to communicate key safety statisticsConduct site tours as neededConduct site hands-on training as needed (Employee Area Orientations, forklift operations, fall protection, safety standard requirements, etc.)Reiterate and role model the importance of Corteva’s Values and Living SafelyConduct line walks while engaging with the teams to ensure efficiency and understanding of daily job tasks in production operationsAct as stand-in Safety Supervisor when neededAct as liaison with contract labor agencies regarding training requirements - communicate with and ensure contract agencies are training their employees on the required policies and proceduresVarious other duties as assignedKey Stakeholders and Interactions:

Grade 12 and related Qualifications essentialPrevious EH&S and Quality Training experience, education, and demonstrated skills including coaching, and leading others in operations, manufacturing, agriculture, or warehousing essentialKnowledge or experience with LEAN Manufacturing principles such as 5S, Continuous Improvement, and Standardized Work beneficialCreativity to keep materials interesting and fresh and have proven your ability to translate complex technical information into easily understood training contentExecute tasks in a timely manner and prioritize work according to business needsDemonstrate integrity and promote a positive working environment by being an initiative-taker and willing to assist team members consistentlyWorking independently as well as in a team environmentBe comfortable with technology and possess excellent computer skills including the use of Microsoft Applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Forms, etc.), and are willing and able to learn other company-specific applications as requiredGood written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customersHigh attention to detail - can multitask, maintain an organized workplace, and have excellent problem-solving skillsValue health and safety!
