Job Description:

SUMMARY:

          

Manages the development, implementation, coordination, and facilitation of all CGRC training programs. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Performs excellent customer service at all time.

Conducts learning needs assessments to determine appropriate training and development programs.

Manages the development, implementation, and facilitation of all training programs for CGRC.

Formulates curriculum outlines and instructional methods to be used for individual and group training and instruction, lectures, demonstrations, conferences, meetings, and workshops.

Continually researches methods and techniques for workplace training and development while remaining up to date on developments within the industry and competitors.

Reviews and evaluates existing and proposed programs and recommends appropriate modifications.

Manages Learning Management System to available capacity to provide recurrent and/or specialized training content.

Tracks and monitors training participation by Team Member, Department, and courses offered.

Tracks and monitors regulatory and compliance training is completed as required.  Notifies department leaders of training deficits.

Assists with annual budget process.

Manages Guest Service training programs, coordinates audits, tracks, monitors, and reports progress to Executive Leadership.

Ensures accurate training records are maintained via Learning Management System.

Ensures appropriate and adequate training material and inventories are maintained.

Participates in employee engagement event planning and execution.

Participates in committee meetings and contributes training and employee engagement discussion points or suggestions as required. May assist &/or provide temporary coverage to other specialty areas in HR (benefits, recruiting, team relations, or administration).

Performs any reasonable request made by management, including but not limited to ushering and ticket processing for CGRC events.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Directly supervises Training Coordinator, Trainers, and other assigned staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.  Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving programs.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

                EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in training, organizational development, education, or a related field ;or five years’ experience in a training and development role and three years’ in supervisory/management role; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that enables successful performance in all aspects of the position.

    

                SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Attention to detail required, as well as strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.  Must possess ability to clearly explain and demonstrate concepts and skills to others.  Must understand how to breakdown complex material into teachable segments for independent or classroom instruction. Knowledge of instructional methods and training techniques including curriculum development, learning theory, group and individual teaching techniques, and test design principle. Experience analyzing company training and development needs. Must be proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, learning management system administration, and e-learning software. Bilingual Spanish/English preferred.

                LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of Team Members, managers, customers, and the general public.

                MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

               

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.  When on the Casino floor the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor, the Team Member will be exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
