Purpose Summary
As a Training & Learning Facilitator reporting to the Manager of Training and Learning and situated within a cross functional team, this role is dedicated to aligning and ensuring the delivery of PVS training and professional learning resources tied to School Improvement Plans and major initiatives within assigned schools. The primary responsibility involves ensuring the delivery of key instructional support that aligns with school improvement objectives. The core focus of this position revolves around the implementation of School Improvement Plans, major initiatives, and ultimately enhancing student outcomes.
The Training & Learning Facilitator plays a pivotal role in orchestrating both individual and group professional learning experiences tailored to the unique needs of each school such as initiatives outlined in School Improvement Plans, and to increase the efficacy of staff. This encompasses comprehensive professional development and targeted product training to empower educators and staff. The overarching goal is to foster a deep understanding of research and data-based strategies, enabling effective delivery of virtual instruction. Through the delivery of services, the facilitator is enabling the school to fulfil their strategic outcomes.
Core Tasks and Responsibilities
Implement and deliver PVS training and resources in alignment with school improvement plans, major initiatives, and companywide objectives;
Tailor teacher focused instructional support to meet the specific needs outlined in school improvement plans;
Work collaboratively within a matrix of cross-functional team members to provide valuable input and suggestions, contributing to the achievement of school goals and addressing challenges;
Provide regular updates, to the Manager of Training and Learning and cross functional team, on both risks and successes related to the implementation and completion of assigned activities, ensuring transparency and accountability;
Collaborate with team members focused on school academic success to select and deliver customized professional learning experiences, as designed by the Academic Impact team, addressing the unique requirements outlined in school improvement plans;
Cultivate and sustain positive relationships with assigned school personnel and internal stakeholders, contributing to a collaborative and supportive environment;
Contribute to a positive organizational culture that prioritizes student outcomes and is adaptable to change, actively engaging in initiatives to maximize our potential;
Continuously learn and stay informed about Charter and SOA/Contract documents, state requirements, standards, and critical topics relevant to assigned schools, ensuring adherence to regulatory and educational standards;
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements & Experience:
BA/BS degree required; MA/MS in Education preferred
Current K-12 teaching certificate or equivalent qualification
Experience K-12 teaching or leader in a subject matter area (i.e., Education Leadership, Special Education, English as a Second Language, Reading Specialist, Math Specialist, etc.)
Knowledge on instructional strategies and best teaching practices, pedagogy and educational trends
Experience presenting to large groups and small groups of adult learners
Skills:
Ability to work with limited supervision; willing to initiate and finish projects on own initiative
Ability to learn, adapt and be flexible to offer differentiated support to each school based on their instructional needs
Ability to perform a variety of tasks, build trust, collaborate, meet deadlines, and work in a calm and efficient manner
Technologically proficient (especially with the use of the internet and Microsoft Office Products)
Some travel required

Compensation at Pearson is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific location. As required by the California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York State, New York City, Vermont, Washington State, and Washington DC laws, the pay range for this position is as follows:
The minimum full-time salary range is between $65,000 - $75,000.
