As Training Lead, you’ll mentor apprentices, ensure regulatory compliance, and build training programmes that reflect the highest standards in aviation maintenance and repair.

Job PurposeIn this role, you’ll develop and deliver impactful training programmes, assess apprentice progress, and support a culture of continuous learning and improvement. You’ll work across departments to align business goals with regulatory standards and help ensure long-term career success for every trainee under your guidance.
Key ResponsibilitiesTraining Delivery
Design and deliver theoretical and practical training programmes for apprentices and internal staff Conduct engaging, accurate, and up-to-date on-the-job training sessions Create and maintain internal training programmes including Continuation Training, Human Factors, and Form 1 Training Meet regularly with apprentices in 1:1 sessions to support development and progress trackingCurriculum Development
Work with subject matter experts to build curriculum aligned with regulatory and organisational goals Develop training materials such as manuals, handouts, presentations, and digital contentApprentice Assessment & Appraisals
Monitor and assess apprentices using written tests, observations, and hands-on evaluations Offer ongoing feedback to help individuals reach competency standards Conduct formal annual appraisals and create development plansCompliance and Quality Assurance
Ensure all training activity complies with Part 145 regulations and company standards Maintain documentation required for audits and quality assurance Participate in audits and respond to regulatory inquiriesMentoring and Support
Act as a mentor and role model for apprentices and junior staff Identify performance issues and work collaboratively to implement solutionsHR Reporting and Communication
Submit quarterly progress reports to HR regarding apprentice development and performance Collaborate with HR and management to ensure transparency and cross-departmental alignmentContinuous Improvement
Keep pace with aviation training trends and evolving regulatory standards Improve training methods and implement new approaches where appropriate Lead and enhance the apprentice recruitment and onboarding process Ideal Candidate ProfileWe’re looking for a confident communicator and motivational leader who is deeply committed to education and professional development in aviation.
