Reporting to the Manager Technical Content & Writing the Training Developer collaborates with their colleagues on the Technical Content team and the Technical Training team, focusing on a subset of Videojet printing technologies during new product development to create training programs for global deployment. This is a new and exciting opportunity to build the bridge between today and tomorrow. This is a hybrid role, with the office location in Nottingham.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Work closely with the engineering, product management, and training teams throughout the development of new products to rapidly develop a deep, hands-on understanding of the product and its impact on our customers and service teams.
Provide regular updates to Senior Instructors throughout to solicit feedback on the proposed training program.
Align with key stakeholders from development, service, and support groups on desired learning outcomes and learning experience while meeting time and quality goals.
Scope, design, and storyboard complete learning curricula deployable to global training groups.
Draft content and work with content development leads to realize the planned media and materials. Coordinate with global lab and field resources to obtain quality recordings or renderings of products and procedures in action for inclusion learning and reference content.
Deliver onsite or virtual Summit Training and early adopter sessions in support of product prelaunch.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Demonstrated experience of instructional/learning design and curriculum development for complex, technical subject matter.
Experience delivering in-person training on technical/industrial topics.
Proven ability to synthesize source material acquired from interviews, engineering documents, into lesson plans and learning materials for diverse audience personas.
A dedication to developing and remaining accountable to project plans while adhering to the mission and vision of Videojet and its service organization.
Fluent in written English, possessing excellent grammar, and able to adjust style to diverse audiences.
Bachelor’s Degree (ideally in Education, Adult Education, Educational Technology, Engineering, or similar).
Up to 10% travel required (intermittent).
It would also be preferable if you had (but not essential):
Experience with project management and visualization tools such as Asana and Miro.
Experience with new product development and Launch Excellence planning
Experience in printing, packaging, or coding industries.
Experience with industrial hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, or computer systems is a plus.
