Trainer and Maintainer
**MANTECH** seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Trainer and Maintainer** to join our vehicle sustainment team in **Erbil, Iraq** . The selected candidate will provide maintenance and logistics support to multiple families of vehicles globally on the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program. **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** + Design and conduct training and development programs to improve both individual and organizational performance in maintenance operations. + Develop course curriculum, instructional materials, and hands-on training modules based on operational requirements and adult learning principles. + Coordinate logistics for training sessions, conduct classes, and develop criteria to evaluate training effectiveness. + Assess training needs and determine technical content tailored to specific vehicle platforms and systems. + Stay current with trends in maintenance training, instructional design, and technical systems education. + Provide classroom and field-based instruction in support of heavy-duty trucks, ground systems, diesel/gasoline vehicles, and related platforms. + Apply technical and instructional skills to support mission readiness through sustainment and support operations. **Minimum Qualifications:** + 4+ years of experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field OR 8+ years of experience and an associate degree in a related field OR 10+ years of qualified experience. + Completion of one of the following TRADOC-approved Army Instructor training courses: ABIC, CFD-IC, ATRRS, or TRADOC-approved equivalent. + Proven experience in maintenance, repair, and sustainment operations within commercial or military environments. + Demonstrated ability to deliver instruction and develop effective training content. + Military or civilian formal certificates of training and instruction in a maintenance-related field. + Strong verbal and written communication skills; capable of document preparation and basic computer tasks using Microsoft Office Suite. + Must be able to meet all medical requirements for foreign travel into operational locations. + Ability to successfully pass a Pre-Employment Drug Screening; must possess a Valid Driver’s License for the location in which the work will be performed, a High School Diploma or GED, and a U.S. Passport valid for at least two years beyond the start date. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Commercial or military experience with heavy-duty trucks, tractors, ground systems, or any diesel or gasoline powered equipment or vehicles. + Willingness to travel to various U.S. or OCONUS locations, including potentially austere environments. **Clearance Requirements:** + Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance prior to starting this position. **Physical Requirements:** + Must be able to balance, bend, carry, crouch, stretch, and kneel. + Must be able to push, pull, and reach. + Must be able to work in high-noise environments. + Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and small parts. + Must be able to use computers and CRTs, and type on a standard keyboard.
