This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to begin their career in marine and transportation claims adjusting. As a Trainee Average Adjuster, you will be supported by experienced professionals as you develop the technical knowledge and practical skills required to progress toward professional qualification and a long-term career in the industry.
You’ll be part of a collaborative and expert team, working on a variety of marine claims while learning how to interpret policies, assess liability, and deliver outstanding service to clients across the Asia-Pacific region.
Key Duties:Assist in the investigation and handling of marine and transportation claims
Support the preparation of average adjustment reports and documentation
Liaise with clients, insurers, brokers, and surveyors under supervision
Maintain accurate records and case files in line with regulatory standards
Participate in training and development activities to build technical expertise
The Skills You Will Have When You Apply:A degree or equivalent qualification (law/maritime laws, maritime studies, or related fields preferred)
A proactive and curious mindset, with a willingness to learn
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication
High attention to detail and accuracy
IT literate, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Fluency in English & Chinese is essential; Mandarin is an advantage
