Join us. **Job Description** AECOM is seeking a well-qualified Traffic or ITS Engineer to support a hybrid role in one of many different offices across the Greater Midwest and Greater Southwest. Even if your desired location is not listed, please apply for further discussion. **Responsibilities include:** Support a team of professionals to deliver: + Traffic analysis, forecasting, safety studies, traffic simulation, and conceptual planning/design. + Plan sheets, specifications & estimates, technical memoranda, reports, presentations and other project documentation + ITS or emerging technology projects following the systems engineering process + Serve in various roles on traffic/ITS projects. + Actively participate in the team’s production of technical deliverables ranging from plans, specifications, estimates, reports, memorandums, etc. + Work with Early in Career staff and help review technical work and project documentation + Deliver assigned tasks on schedule and budget, while adhering to AECOM quality standards + Coordinate directly with other discipline groups within AECOM, as well as with external clients and sub-consultants + Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision. + Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works. + Coordinate with Business Development leaders to capture project opportunities **Qualifications** **Minimum Qualifications** + BA/BS and 4 years of relevant experience demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education **Preferred Qualifications** + Preferred minimum 5 years of experience with an emphasis in civil engineering fields such as traffic control design, traffic studies, ITS engineering, traffic staging within Agency and DOT standards and projects. + Registered Professional Engineer or ability to obtain PE license in 6 months + Good written and verbal communication skills + Experience using Traffic and Traffic Simulation Software and design platforms. + Ability to work as a member of a team or perform independent work as required. + Good interpersonal skills, good command of the English language both, verbally and written, the ability to express thoughts clearly, good time management skills, and a good attitude towards work. **Additional Information** Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications.
