We are hiring a Junior Accountant, to join our team. We would love to see your profile!

What you will do: 

 

As a Junior Trading Accountant, you will be reporting directly to the Oveheads and Treasury Accounting Manager and you will become of member of a team composed of 19 persons.

The role will allow you to develop your skills in the field of trading and overhead accounting and to discover the exciting world of energy commodities trading. The business is facing many changes (biofuels and JV developments, new geographical areas…) which imply new flows and several IT developments and thus a reflection on the accounting side as well as on the systems optimization side.

Your main responsibilities will be the following:

Trading Accounting

Ensure accurate recording and verification of provisions and invoices for trading books.Collaborate with Operators to monitor and clean Medissys data.Analyze monthly trading results in collaboration with the Middle-Office Analyst and Trading Operations.Identify and correct accounting discrepancies, with transparent reporting to trading operations.Calculate and interpret TVM (Time Value Money).Act as a key point of contact for external auditors, providing insights and responses within the defined scope.Adapt monitoring processes and follow-up as needed in case of accounting changes or business changes.

IT Development

Modernize and simplify IT tools for trading, including maintenance and developments (VBA, Python, PWBI)Provide active support to the team's tech expert.Become IT referent, some reporting and accounting topic

 

Candidate Profile You hold a Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Finance and AccountingYou have 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting.Knowledge of accounting software (SAP, Sage).Strong attention to detail, responsiveness, availability, ability to work in a team, and stress resilience.Strong IT mindset: Skills in Python/Power BI are a significant +Fluent in both English and FrenchApply the Trading mindset (Teamwork, Agility, Driven by Result, Courage, Risk Appetite, Open-Mindedness
