The role:
Opportunity for a Trades Assistant to join our team in Darwin and support our team in the repair and maintenance of sea boats and associated equipment. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, values teamwork, and is committed to maintaining high safety and quality standards. You will work across multiple areas, rotating as directed, and occasionally supporting weekend maintenance when required.
Responsibilities will include:
\tAssisting trades personnel with the repair and maintenance of sea boats.
\t\t\tWashing down, cleaning, and preparing sea boats and trailers.
\t\t\tSafely operating a forklift and completing forklift-related tasks.
\t\t\tWorking autonomously when required and completing duties as directed.
\t\t\tEnsuring all tasks are carried out in accordance with workshop manuals and written instructions.
\t\t\tComplying with all Thales Occupational Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
\t\t\tSupporting the development of JSEA’s and Risk Assessments by providing feedback and relevant information.

How about you?
\tMust hold a Drivers Licence.
\t\t\tMust hold an LF Forklift Licence (LR forklift also desirable).
\t\t\tAbility to work in hot environments.
\t\t\tFlexibility to support occasional weekend maintenance.
\t\t\tWillingness to rotate across various work areas as needed.
\t\t\tExperience or familiarity with general workshop machinery and its safe operation.
\t\t\tStrong communication skills and the ability to motivate and work effectively with others.
\t\t\tA proactive attitude with a commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.
\t\t\tThe ability to work independently and contribute positively to a high-performing team.
