**What you’ll be doing**
CIBC Asset Management (CIBC AM) is one of Canada's largest asset management firms with approximately $180 billion in assets under management and possess over forty-five years of experience designing and implementing client solutions. As a Trader – Beta Trading, you will be an individual contributor within the Global Fixed Income, Derivatives and Beta Trading unit reporting to the Head of Global Trading. You will execute transactions for passive mandates and CPIC clients, and support the team across all product lines, including developed and emerging markets in rates, credit, commodities, repos, and equities.

**How you'll succeed**
+ **Trade Execution & Analytics -** Diligently execute transactions, selecting optimal counterparties and execution venues using pre- and post-trade analytics. Coordinate with portfolio managers and Head Trader to align trading activity with investment strategies. Provide timely market intelligence on liquidity, sentiment, and flows to portfolio managers and analysts. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to resolve matching and settlement issues. Participate in system and process improvements to enhance trading efficiency. Stay current on market trends, infrastructure, systems, and best practices.
+ **Stakeholder Collaboration & Counterparty Management -** Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of counterparty evaluation criteria. Provide feedback on counterparties’ strengths and weaknesses related to trading execution and other relevant issues. Support the Best Execution Committee and participate in the review of Trade Cost Analysis (TCA) reports. Collaborate with colleagues across investment, relationship management, and support teams to achieve collective goals.
+ **Risk Management & Compliance -** Adhere to all CIBC governance, regulatory controls, and expense policies, ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements. Provide required information for business controls reviews and participate in the Business Continuity Team. Proactively identify and manage risks to avoid negative reputational or financial impacts.
**Who you are**
+ **You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree** in finance, economics, or related field.
+ **You can demonstrate experience.** Minimum 3 years’ experience in a large financial organization. Strong understanding of financial markets and macroeconomics. Proven ability to meet deadlines, multitask, and make quick, accurate decisions in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written. Demonstrated initiative, responsibility, and performance-driven mindset. You're motivated by collective success.
