Visit TextronSystems\.com & Lycoming\.com to read more about who we are and the products we make\! **_About This Role_** The Textron Systems Tradeshows & Events Specialist will support the planning and coordination of tradeshows and events for our comprehensive portfolio of products and domains \(business lines\)\. Reporting to the Manager of Tradeshows & Events, this position is part of Textron Systems' Marketing & Communications team\. The position is located in Hunt Valley, MD\. As a Trade Show & Events Specialist, you will work across the Marketing & Communications team to plan and coordinate logistics for Textron Systems' trade show and events \- both external and internal \- presence throughout the calendar year\. This role is part time and will work 20\-30 hours per week, as agreed upon by the candidate and hiring manager\. **_Responsibilities_** * Supporting annual trade show and event planning and budgeting * Conducting research and analysis of proposed domestic and international trade shows and recommend an optimal mix based on strategic business requirements, customer focus, ROI and cost * Provide on\-site management for selected events \(travel approx\. 15%\) * Independently manage all aspects of assigned events with superior attention to detail: * Event and attendee logistics \(Show registrations and hotel room blocks\) * Show organizer deadlines * Vendor deadlines including housing, badge passes, trade show logistics, invitations, graphics, video, shipping, etc\. * Collaborate with events team members and marketing colleagues to offer creative solutions and ideas * Assigned budget, including processing show related invoices for payment and keeping record spending using team budget trackers * Weekly status updates * Maintaining and updating the show plan, coordinating all planning meetings with the key stakeholders pre\-show and post\-show \(including post show survey and ROI analysis report out using ROI tools and templates\) * Inventory of tradeshow properties, event materials and giveaways * When attending an event, greet customers and new visitors, and act as a brand ambassador for Textron Systems to ensure consistent and professional messaging * Manage staffing and meeting requirements on\-site * Record customer engagements and manage meeting schedule updates, flow of meetings and use of conference rooms at select events * Other duties as assigned **Qualifications** * Bachelor's degree in related field with 3\-5 years of professional experience in event management * Must be well organized, agile and able to make quick decisions independently, at times, while at show site * Must possess the ability to multi\-task projects and be extremely detail\-oriented * Must be forward thinking and on the lookout for new techniques across the event industry to make recommendations and execute ideas to elevate our events and improve ROI to the business * Demonstrated success with project management as well as event management team collaboration for multiple events occurring simultaneously * Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing and at all levels of the organization * Fosters a strong entrepreneurial spirit and thrives in a fast\-paced and deadline\-driven environment, while managing multiple priorities with limited resources * Team player with the desire, passion and motivation to deliver superior event ROI * Organized and extremely detailed oriented * Able to handle high volume of tasks and deliverables **Physical Demands** * Simple to moderate physical exertion * Must be able to lift more than 40lbs\. * Approx\. 15% travel **Primary Location** : Hunt Valley, MD **_How We Care_** At Textron Systems, our talented people make us successful\.
