As a Trading Services Associate I within JPMorganChase, you will play a pivotal role in the seamless execution of trade activities, from order entry to settlement. While still developing, your expertise in market products and understanding of automation technologies will be instrumental in optimizing our trading services. You will be expected to leverage your proficiency in change management and continuous improvement to enhance the efficiency and resilience of our operating platform Your role will also allow you to keep developing your relationships with internal stakeholders, presenting insights to senior management, and driving process improvements. Your decisions will contribute and impact on short-term team and department goals, and you will often guide others in their work activities, contributing to the overall success of our trading services. 

Job responsibilities Validate and process trades for a variety of credit derivatives products, including single-name CDS (Credit Default Swaps), index CDS (CDX, iTraxx), CDS tranches and bespoke baskets, credit options (swaptions, options on indices), and credit-linked notes and total return swaps.Ensure all trades are accurately booked in front office systems (e.g., Bloomberg, Calypso, Markit Wire) and reconciled with back office records.Review and resolve trade discrepancies, mismatches, and breaks between front office and back office systems.Coordinate with trading, legal, and operations teams to ensure correct settlement and documentation for credit events such as bankruptcy, failure to pay, and restructuring. Facilitate novations and assignments by transferring trades between counterparties, ensuring proper documentation and system updates.Monitor and process coupon payments, roll dates, and maturities, including periodic payments, resets, and contract expiries. Ensure all amendments, terminations, and cancellations are properly reflected in systems and communicated to stakeholders.Oversee electronic and manual confirmation processes via platforms such as Markit Wire, DTCC, and ICE, ensuring timely execution and matching of trade confirmations, and escalate outstanding items to traders and counterparties.Support daily risk and P&L reporting for credit derivatives portfolios, including attribution of P&L to market moves, new trades, lifecycle events, and valuation adjustments, as well as investigation and resolution of breaks in risk and P&L.Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements (Dodd-Frank, EMIR, CFTC, MiFID II) for credit derivatives trading and reporting. Support regulatory reporting (e.g., trade repository submissions, clearing mandates) and respond to regulatory inquiries.Monitor adherence to internal policies, limits, and controls. Act as a key point of contact for traders, sales, risk, operations, technology, and compliance teams regarding credit derivatives trade flow and issues.Communicate effectively with external counterparties to resolve trade and confirmation issues. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance control, efficiency, and automation in trade processing and lifecycle management.Participate in new product launches, system upgrades, and regulatory change projects, providing subject matter expertise on credit derivatives.Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills  Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Business, or a related discipline.Minimum 4  years of relevant experience in middle office, trade support, or operations within an investment bank or financial institution.Solid understanding of credit derivatives instruments, market conventions, and lifecycle events (credit events, novation’s, assignments, roll dates, etc.).Ability to investigate and resolve trade breaks, discrepancies, and operational issues independently.Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with traders, sales, risk, operations, technology, and external counterparties.Understanding of regulatory requirements impacting credit derivatives (Dodd-Frank, EMIR, CFTC, MiFID II).Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Must have Direct experience supporting credit derivatives products (e.g., single-name CDS, index CDS, tranches, credit options) is strongly preferred.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, basic formulas); experience with Alteryx, Tableau, VBA, Uipath or Python is a plus.
