The Trade Sales and Marketing Director is responsible for setting and implementing the strategy and direction that will enable the team to achieve the company’s trade sales objectives. **Key Areas of Accountability:** + P&L Accountability + Distribution Strategy + Shopper Marketing + Trading Term Development + Distributor Management + Key Customer Development **Job Specification:** + Responsible for delivering sales and distribution objectives for the company + Tasked to develop and implement shopper and customer based strategy in pursuit of both top line and bottom line goals + Manages the go to market approach of the company in line with brand and consumer key performance measures + Leads the Trade Retail Sales Organization whose capabilities include trade and customer marketing, key account management and distributor development in generating demand through Modern Trade and Pharmacy channels **Knowledge & Experience:** + Strong relations with the local retail industry for the past 5 – 10 years + At least 1 year per position - National Key Accounts Manager/Area Sales Manager; Trade Marketing Manager; Trade Promotions / Merchandising / Category Management / Sales Information Mgr or Svr; Distributor Manager / Supervisor; Key Account Manager / Supervisor + Must have a vast knowledge on the following - Knowledge of the Business; Demand Forecasting; Territory Planning and Management; Distributor Management; Merchandising and Promotions Management; Category Management; Key Account Management; Financial Management: Business, Key Account, Distributor; Organization Development **Competencies required:** + Good Communication Skills + Negotiating Skills + Strategic Planning + Ability to Build strategic working relationships + Project Management + Managing the Sales Job + Analytical Skills + Leadership **Minimum Qualification:** Must be a holder of a Bachelor's Degree, any Business and Marketing Course An Equal Opportunity Employer Abbot welcomes and encourages diversity in our workforce.
