Role and Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
• Develops professional expertise by complying with company policies and procedures
• Works on problems of moderate scope where analyzing situations or data requires a review on various factors
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action
• Normally receives general instructions on routine work with detailed instructions on new projects or assignments
• Generally requires a bachelor's degree with a minimum 2 years related experience, or advanced degree without experience
1. [Project management] Coordinate progress on collaborative tasks for retailers, subsidiaries and HQ on a weekly basis.
2. [Retailer engagement] Assist in improving low performing KPIs of retailers by managing store sales data (sell-out, faulty product rate, obsolete inventory, etc.) through the system.
3. [Retail mapping] Assist in the collection of data (in-store share, sell-out amount by store, etc.) for selecting stores with the highest growth potential to maximize efficiency within the limited investment.
4. [SKU(Stock Keeping Unit) optimization] Check the sales of each store in the system based on the retail mapping.
5. [Store inventory management (stockout, obsolete inventory management)] Check the sales of each store in the system based on the retail mapping.
Requirements:
The candidate must have experience in retail operations or trade marketing as well as market understanding of Guatemala. Preferably from consumer electronics or retail industry. If impossible, candidate can be from other industries but it is preferred to understand consumer electronics business.
It can be necessary that candidate performs countryside visits (once per month), visits frequently POS (once-twice per week), and travel possibly to El Salvador, Honduras or Panama.
[Academic Background ]: Bachelor in Business Admin. or Marketing, or Industrial Engineering or similar. MBA o Master in Retail is a plus.
[Professional Experience ]: 3-5 years of trade marketing operations experience
[Specific knowledge / skills]: People management, market understanding, retail planning, retail execution, negotiation, public relations, reports and presentations to customers, experience in retail industry, office package, English proficiency, SAP, budget management, customs clearance.
Candidate should be based in Guatemala City.
