Role Overview

We are recruiting high calibre candidate who will support the Brokers and Trading of TP Japan. He/ She will assist to lead a team of Operation trade management associates, specialised in Trade Support and Trade Management on interest rate derivative and FX. He/ she is also responsible for Operations Control functions and be the First-Point-of-Escalation, including but not limited to: Trade Capture, Trade Lifecycle management, Intersystem reconciliation, revenue reporting & Regulatory Reporting, etc.

The candidate will work closely with the Front Office, to drive and discuss initiatives to aid the Front Office in Trade booking and Brokerage Calculation, and supports the business during Trade Lifecycle, i.e. Before/ during/ after trade executions. To provide Operations feedbacks and perspective with Risk & Control mindset while facilitating the Business and Front Office from initial booking through the Front/ Middle Office systems to Confirmations.

As an Operations team lead, the candidate will work with the head of Japan Trade Management to lead and to ensure Service Level requirement is met and escalation matrix/ contingency plan is followed. The role and responsibility includes Client Services, Operations Excellence and Quality Assurance:  Ensure all trades are accurately booked and matched in time according to strict settlements timelines and/or client’s expectation; ensure all trade confirmations are checked and accurate and send to clients;  ensure all enquiry are properly handled and promptly follow-up; ensure tasks are all completed by deadline or end-of-day;  ensure all procedures/ SOP are up-to-date.

Role Responsibilities

Assist in running and managing the Trade Management team, supporting the relevant asset classes, ensuring that our business is supported at all times.Take ownership, where necessary, of any issues that arise, in the day to day operating model of the Trade Management Team.Review and maintain key controls are adhered with TP ICAP policy, ensuring Back Office Operations maintain the required standards to support the business.Ensure policy and procedures documentation is up to date to reflect the way in which Trade Management operates and in line with internal audit and risk requirements.Ensure and evidence oversight of any regular intra-day, Intra-week, or intra-month tasks, necessary to ensure that our trades are managed as appropriate.Build business relationships with internal and external clients ensuring operational procedures are communicated clearly with the business.Re-engineer Front to Back workflow and enhance existing platform to support new products/system/STP. Define daily routine procedures, put together workflow menu and set the parameters for Risk Management and Compliance.Maintain and report all incidents of exception processing, ensuring full escalation to regional management where necessary.Provide analysis and suggestions for process changes, in order to constantly improve the way in which Trade Management operates.Co-ordinate with clients and system support team with regards to clients’ request/system issue.Contributing within project teams to ensure that Operations are best placed to support new businesses.Keep up to date with changes relating to statutory regulations, policies and procedures affecting the settlements and operations function.Monitor trading activities from back-office platforms. Proactively follow up on both external and internal client’s inquiry or instructions, to ensure smooth and successful bookings and trade confirmations accuracy within the tight timelines or agreed SLACo-ordinate and follow up with Counterparties to resolve mismatches/ unmatched trades and fail transactionsMonitor interface between the Front office and Middle office systems for trade breaksFulfil any additional/ ad-hoc duties as required to meet business needsInvolve in change projects including testing with UAT and participate in any new business initiatives.

Experience / Competences

Essential
