JOB DESCRIPTION
Objectives
This position exists to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements for trade control in the APAC region. The Trade Control Specialist is responsible for license management, regulatory reporting, process improvement, and stakeholder training to minimize risks and ensure smooth international trade operations. The role also supports simplification and digitalization of trade control procedures across business units.
Main Areas of Responsibilities and Key Activities
Ensure compliance with applicable trade control laws and regulations, maintaining the required permits.Manage blocks and resolve trade compliance issues effectively.Perform Trade Control License Management in SAP GTS.Provide guidance and training to business units, enhancing awareness of compliance requirements and trade procedures.Support the review and enhancement of Trade Control processes with a focus on simplification and digital transformation.Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities for controlled goods within the Asia-Pacific region.Actively contribute to the Trade Control Community within the organization.

Job Requirements (minimum requirement to carry out the work)
Education
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Natural Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field.Working Experience
12+ yeras of professional experience in trade control or related regulatory compliance roles.Familiarity with supply chain operations is desirable.Technical & Professional Knowledge
In-depth understanding of trade control laws and procedures in APAC.Knowledge of the business unit’s portfolio and related compliance risks.Experience with SAP GTS for license management and compliance tasks.Strong understanding of IT tools and digital solutions to improve compliance processes.
