Services & Support Operations Division The Services and Support Operations (SSO) is a global leader of integrated MRO services and support. Trade Compliance Specialist (SSO Division – Irvine, CA) Position Summary/Essential Functions: Responsible for the Services and Support Operations (SSO) division Irvine site import and/or export programs. Understand the compliance obligations that Parker and the division has and works to maintain and implement processes that support the corporation’s compliance goals. Support the division’s cargo security program. Provides training to division personnel on compliance rules and regulations. Principle contact for Customs Clearance and Export Processing issues for the division site. This role is responsible for the trade compliance process for simple to moderately complex requirements. Position will report to the Military Proposals and Contracts Leader. Work with engineering, customer service, contracts administration, suppliers, I/T, Corporate Transportation and Logistics team, Corporate Compliance team and other appropriate resources to ensure the division maintains a trade compliant status. This position is subject to meeting U.S. export compliance and/or U.S. Government contracting citizenship eligibility requirements. Responsibilities: + Promotes and fosters a safe work environment. + Maintains division’s import and export manuals and conducts regular audits. + Maintains the division’s item master for HTS, COO, and License status. + Revises and Updates Customs Broker SOPs as needed + Provides Import Clearance Instructions including master data files, and non-standard shipments inquiries + Audit's Return Goods Declarations for Customs Entries (high volume) + Develops and Tracks Customs Entry Audit Metrics and KPIs + Participates in regular Business Reviews with Customs Brokers + Works with Engineering and/or procurement to determine new product compliance coding (ECCN and HTS), maintains the ERP system and regularly reports and audits the content + Provides training to internal stakeholders on Customs regulations and internal processes + With the support of the TC team, supports continuous improvement initiatives + Provides FTA data and certificates of origin to customers as required. + Assists with Government Licensing applications as necessary. + May assist with export logistics to facilitate international shipments from time to time + Supports the TC team in completing quarterly self-assessments on Parker Customs Program + Attends Parker import/export training annually. + Ensure adherence to Parker policies and programs with internal stakeholders through training and daily communication. + Backup support for other TC team members and site Administrators as required + Other tasks as assigned Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree (4 Year) in Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations Management, Business, or Other. The wage range for this role considers allowances for a number of factors, including but not limited to required experience, skill level, prior training, licensure/certifications, education, and other business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $81,226 - $131,131, based on experience.
