As a Trade Associate within the Portfolio Management Group, you will facilitate scalable tax-efficient trading and assist portfolio managers in managing investment books. You will work closely with global teams to ensure adherence to client mandates and best practices. Your role will involve continuous monitoring and optimization of portfolios to deliver exceptional client experiences.
Job Responsibilities:
Partner with the PMG Tax Transition Team to execute trades on a scalable platform and validate tax-efficient trades, including tactical trades and tax loss harvesting.Facilitate the migration of accounts to the tax-efficient scalable platform to enhance operational efficiencies.Oversee daily trading activities such as cash management, investment strategy adjustments, and security inflows.Run data analytics to identify trading optimization opportunities and report on portfolio risk using key metrics like Standard Deviation, Beta, R-Square, Risk Utilization, and Tracking Error.Develop a controls mindset by identifying process gaps and implementing innovative methods to ensure audit-ready procedures, including UAT testing new features.Create robust reporting tools and key metrics to effectively monitor and control accounts on the platform.Engage and communicate with local and global clients and support teams to ensure timely status updates and manage any escalations.Contribute towards strategic priorities of business including UAT testing new features.Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
4+ years of relevant experience in portfolio analytics, monitoring/risk, or a related research/analyst function.An MBA or a postgraduate degree in Finance (or related field); Strong quantitative and analytical skills with expertise in data analysis and understanding of data flows.Proven ability to enhance processes using scripting languages (Python or R), with high proficiency in Python.Advanced proficiency in core MS Office applications, particularly in Excel (with experience in Access and PowerPoint).Excellent communication skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage complex portfolio risks in a dynamic environment.Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Experience with scripting languages and/or data analysis tools like Alteryx, Python, Tableau and VBACFA is an added advantageStrong problem-solving, control, and project management skillsExperience with tools such as QlikView, Alteryx, Tableau, and SQL is highly advantageous.
