Trade Allocation and Settlement Analyst
Description

The Huntington Securities, Inc. (HSI) Trade Allocation Specialist is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate trade allocations and corrections for institutional clients. This role involves close coordination with internal teams, clients, and external counterparties to manage risk and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Manage daily trade allocation processIdentify and work with clients sending manual trade allocations to meet regulatory allocation requirementsWork with internal teams and clients to facilitate trade correctionsProcess timely and accurate trade correctionsConduct thorough research and analysis for all trade correctionsUtilize a strong understanding of financial markets to identify and mitigate potential operational risksStay up to date on industry regulations and compliance requirements related to trade allocations, corrections, and settlementCreate and maintain detailed documentation of allocation processes and proceduresCommunicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide status updates and resolve any issues or concerns related to settlementsCollaborate with various internal teams to ensure smooth settlement processesMonitor and manage trade exceptions, ensuring prompt resolution and escalation when necessaryProcess and reconcile daily trade settlements in a timely and accurate mannerEnsure timely and accurate settlement of trades, while mitigating operational riskMonitor trade affirmations to comply with T+1 regulationsProvide support to other team members and assist with ad hoc projects as neededPerforms other duties as assigned


Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree2-5 years of Broker Dealer trade allocations experience or comparable experienceFINRA Series 7


Preferred Qualifications:

Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely securities trade processingResolve operational or trading issues by coordinating with other departments and external partiesComplete in-depth investigations into all trade corrections, both internally and with clients to create timely resolutionsExperience working with MBS products, including TBA and PoolsKnowledge of securities regulations, compliance, and industry standards.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; adaptive to changeAbility to create and foster strong partnerships with business partners and work well in a team environmentDetail oriented with strong organizational skillsBloomberg/TOMS/CTMStrong understanding of securities markets and trading systemsAnalytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Compensation Range:

77,000.00 - 154,000.00 Annual

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.  Colleagues in this position are also eligible to participate in an applicable incentive compensation plan.  In addition, Huntington provides a variety of benefits to colleagues, including health insurance coverage, wellness program, life and disability insurance, retirement savings plan, paid leave programs, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
