Description The AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) Planning Tools team is seeking a passionate, innovative, results-oriented Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM) to deliver solutions that make it simpler for our field team to manage and operate at scale. As a Sr. TPM on the team, you'll contribute to defining and building the next go-to-market (GTM) platform for the AWS Sales organization. In addition to working with the latest AWS technologies, you'll have the opportunity to innovate in the space of Sales Planning and Management. Our team manages a portfolio of complex, high-impact, and intelligent planning tools, with an exciting multi-year product roadmap. These are global, enterprise-level applications that are early and mid-stage in their lifecycle, and include both first-party and third-party products. Our team is seeking a talented, innovative Sr. Technical Program Manager with exceptional invent and simplify skillset, problem-solving abilities, clear communication skills, think big mindset, and the ability to translate customer and business needs into inventive software solutions. This role offers a challenging and highly visible position responsible for managing multiple projects and driving results across teams. You will be responsible for identifying stakeholders, working with leadership to develop a vision, executing projects, and delivering on our goals. Successful candidates will have a strong technical background, be detail-oriented, have excellent problem-solving and communication abilities, and possess a deep understanding of product design and implementation details. The candidate's technical expertise and operational excellence will raise the bar, influence the team's decisions, and drive secure and robust solutions with excellent customer experience. Key job responsibilities • Understand project requirements by partnering closely with product managers, engineers, and key stakeholders • Collaborate with engineering teams to assess level-of-effort requirements • Build project plans and sprint schedules based on engineering team bandwidth • Manage dependencies both inside and outside the team to provide timely answers, unblock the team, and execute according to the aligned project plan and business deadlines • Identify and escalate risks while managing issue resolution • Implement project management best practices, establish appropriate processes, and align with existing processes to deliver results • Earn trust from engineering teams, stakeholders, and leadership • Set up Jira and other tools for capturing requirements and managing projects About the team About AWS Diverse Experiences AWS values diverse experiences. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
