About the Role
Airswift is seeking a Senior Rotating Equipment Engineer for a 12-month contract with potential extension. This Perth-based role offers an excellent opportunity to enhance operational and technical engineering skills while working on a wide range of rotating equipment in a multi-discipline team. You will develop fit-for-purpose solutions to address facility risks and ensure safe, reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities

Lead complex plant modifications to reduce safety, environmental, regulatory, and financial risks to ALARP. Provide technical input for equipment breakdowns, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, maintenance strategies, and work planning. Participate in HAZOP/LOPA workshops, ART forums, and incident investigations. Manage external service providers for multi-discipline projects, including scope definition, budget approval, assurance reviews, and schedule tracking. Collaborate across disciplines to deliver practical engineering solutions and support planning engineering via maintenance strategies, procedure updates, and queries.

Skills & Experience

Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years in a technical Rotating Equipment Engineer capacity. Extensive experience with industrial rotating machinery, including gas turbines (heavy duty and aeroderivative), compressors (centrifugal, axial, reciprocating), and pumps. Minimum 5 years’ experience in Oil & Gas operations. Strong process safety knowledge and understanding of management of change, risk identification, and assessment. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment and coach junior engineers. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
