**About the role**
+ Our Product Regulations & Stewardship (PRS) team, composed of 40 people, is integrated in the HSER department and focuses on the compliant, safe and sustainable use of our products worldwide in line with Solvay’s Responsible Care commitment.
+ As a Toxicologist, you will deliver Toxicological & Environmental Risk Assessment expertise in support of Global Business Units (GBU) product stewardship activities and represent Solvay or its GBUs in consortia and sector groups. You will get the opportunity to work in collaboration with other experts (in the GBU, Sustainability, Legal, HSER and all the PRS teams), and contribute to a positive impact in Solvay’s Chemical Industry compliance.
+ You will be accountable for:
+ Preparing registration dossiers for the EU and other countries, authoring expert positions, and creating technical responses and Weight of Evidence assessments for regulatory use, as well as representing Solvay and its GBUs in consortia and sector groups.
+ Guiding testing strategies for hazard assessments and coordinating (eco-)toxicological and physical-chemical studies.
+ Performing exposure and risk assessments using specialized modeling for Solvay products' industrial, professional, and consumer uses.
+ Supporting GBU R&I initiatives and business development by answering client questions.
+ Serving as a reference person, supporting colleagues within and outside the toxicology team with specific fields of expertise.
+ We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode.
**About you**
+ Master's degree in life sciences (chemistry, biochemistry, biology) or medical sciences. You have a strong (eco)toxicology and risk assessment background, demonstrated by at least 5 years of professional experience gained in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry or in a consulting environment.
+ Competencies:
+ Good communication in English and good knowledge of French.
+ In-depth expertise in specific areas of toxicology, with specialized knowledge in topics such as substances of very high concern (SVHC), biocides, endocrine disruption, mixture toxicity, and/or nano/particle toxicology.
+ Experience in writing and submitting safety documentation for regulations like REACH, managing and interpreting (eco)toxicological studies, and using alternative testing approaches like QSAR and read-across. You should also have a strong customer and service orientation.

**About the pay and benefits**
+ Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. While Belgium base pay reasonably expected for this role is 82 000€ to 100 000€, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience. Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
