Today, we are recruiting for a (TOT) Railway Temporary Operations Lead Engineer to join our team in Egypt. This is an excellent career opportunity for professionals looking to join a truly international team in one of the biggest projects of Siemens Mobility.

What are my responsibilities?

Interface with all the technical teams of the e-HSR project and clarifying of all technical queries related to the temporary operation of the equipment during the System Test and Commissioning. Supervise TOT Division: ensuring the proper execution of the Permit to Work (PTW) system and coordination of all works within the TOT Area. Lead Weekly Works Planning Meetings. Organize and chair regular meetings with relevant stakeholders to plan and monitor current and upcoming T&C activities. Support the TOT team in defining the test boundaries and the needed protective measures. Assess Work Applications: Evaluate and approve work applications and access requests, ensuring they align with the overall project schedule and safety requirements. Build & maintain a good and effective communication network with all involved internal and external parties. Implement Safety Procedures: Ensure adherence to safety procedures and guidelines, conducting regular safety audits and inspections. Coordinate with Key Personnel: Collaborate with the TOT Management, T&C Engineers, T&C Scheduler, and other key personnel to ensure seamless coordination of commissioning activities. Coordination with the Customer Service Team to know resources availability in case maintenance support is required. Manage the TOT Tools inventory. Prepare the Dynamic Integration Commencement Notice in accordance with the System Restrictions and write concise and accurate planning reports and consolidate Incident Report and all communication logs during the implementation of the Incident Response Procedure.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Project Management, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications in railway systems or commissioning processes are preferred Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in project management, commissioning, or railway systems. Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects is highly desirable. In-depth understanding of railway systems, traction power supply, LV systems, and commissioning processes Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate complex activities Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address issues promptly Pro-active, confident and independent with self-starter attitude and safety driven. Full professional proficiency in English, Arabic (spoken and written) is a must. Preferred Skills: Knowledge in Railway Temporary Operations Knowledge in Railway Construction Railway Operations (CRO) Knowledge in Construction Commissioning Railway Management (CCRM/TOM)
