We are looking for a skilled and safety-conscious Torcher/Burner to join our client's team. In this essential Union role, you'll be responsible for accurately cutting metal materials to precise specifications using various torch equipment. If you have experience with metal cutting and take pride in producing clean, accurate work, this is your chance to join a team that values craftsmanship and safety.

Responsibilities:

Operate oxy-fuel, plasma, and other torches to cut metal as specified in blueprints or work ordersMeasure, mark, and layout material to ensure accuracyPerform a variety of cuts, including straight, bevel, and complex shapesMaintain torch equipment and keep the work area clean and organizedInspect finished workpieces for precision and quality standardsFollow all safety protocols and wear proper PPEReport equipment issues and safety hazards to the supervisorAssist with material handling and general shop tasks as neededComply with all Union guidelines and regulations

Skills & Qualifications:

Prior experience using torches for metal cuttingSolid measuring and layout skillsUnderstanding of metal types and cutting techniquesDetail-oriented with a strong commitment to qualitySafety-first mindsetMust be eligible for or currently hold Union membershipExperience with multiple torch types is a plusAbility to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions preferred
