Tooling Technician Details:

Direct Hire position$27.00 to $32.00 /hourSecond Shift (Monday through Friday from 03:00pm to 11:00pm)Responsible for building, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting a variety of tools, dies, fixtures, and gauges.Supports production through precision repairs, preventative maintenance, and tool modifications to ensure equipment runs efficiently and safely.Repair, maintain, and assemble all types of dies, jigs, fixtures, and toolingPerform inspections using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring equipmentRead and interpret blueprints, cooling diagrams, and work instructionsClean, polish, and inspect die cavities and surfacesReplace or repair ejector and punch pins; check and repair water lines and fittingsWeld (MIG, TIG, Stick) components as neededPrepare dies and cavities for shipment or external vendor repairWork safely on hot molds (300–600°F) with proper PPEMaintain good documentation of repairs and follow quality standardsAssist with troubleshooting and maintaining pneumatic and low-voltage electrical circuitsCollaborate with maintenance, set-up, and production personnel as neededFollow company safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work areaOther duties as assigned

Tooling Technician Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED (preferred)Minimum 3 years’ experience in Tool & Die or similar trade (preferred)Technical training in blueprint reading, shop math, and machine operation (preferred)Proficiency in blueprint reading and print interpretationAbility to work from verbal, written, or visual instructionsFamiliar with hand tools, bench tools, grinders, saws, tube benders, etc.Basic welding and machining knowledgeAbility to read tape measure to 1/32" and document resultsFamiliarity with gauges, layouts, and dimensional troubleshootingForklift and overhead crane operation experience (certifications preferred)Basic computer skills (data entry, repair logs)
