Mechanical Engineer specialized in metal-forming tooling design, 3D modeling, and FEA for beverage canning, metal tubing, and automotive panel applications.
Job Requirements
BS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related technical field
Proven experience designing and engineering metal-form tooling for canning, metal tubing, or car body panels/doors
Proficient in 3D modeling; Inventor CAD preferred
Hands-on background with finite-element analysis (FEA) or equivalent simulation tools
Skilled in statistical analysis techniques for process and product validation
Preferred Skills
Prior exposure to can-making tooling projects
Working knowledge of quality and engineering methodologies such as FMEA, RCA, and SPC
Familiarity with CNC machining and programming (lathes, mills, band saws, grinders, etc.)
Job Responsibilities
Design, develop, and optimize metal-forming tooling and related components
Perform FEA and other analytical methods to validate and improve design integrity
Apply statistical analysis to support continuous product and tooling enhancements
Author, implement, and present detailed technical reports for new product and tooling initiatives
Generate and process Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) throughout the product life cycle
Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $90,000.00 per year
