Job Description
A leading aerospace client is seeking an experienced Equipment and Tool Engineer IV to join their team and play a pivotal role in advancing production systems and engineering excellence. This individual will be responsible for developing program and project requirements for aerospace products, leading the design and modification of equipment and tooling at the program level, and validating technical data to influence product engineering decisions. They will provide expert recommendations in robotics, automation, and system integration, while ensuring all solutions meet stringent standards for safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomics, and regulatory compliance. The role includes leading gated reviews, developing production readiness plans, overseeing preventive maintenance and spares strategies, and validating contractual performance milestones. Additionally, the engineer will implement workarounds, maintain configuration control of hardware, software, and documentation, and conduct asset disposition studies. The ideal candidate brings creativity, a passion for process improvement, and a strong desire to be hands-on in the factory environment, collaborating closely with mechanics, safety teams, and equipment services. Success in this role requires a deep commitment to safety, quality, and integrity, and a drive to continuously elevate the production system.

Educational Requirements
• Education typically acquired through advanced technical study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry.
• Acceptable degrees include Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD from an accredited course of study.
• For mid-level roles:
○ Bachelor's degree plus 9 or more years of related work experience.
○ Master's degree plus 7 or more years of related work experience.
○ PhD plus 4 or more years of related work experience.
• For senior-level roles:
○ Bachelor's degree plus 14 or more years of related work experience.
○ Master's degree plus 12 or more years of related work experience.
○ PhD plus 9 or more years of related work experience.
○ Alternatively, 18 or more years of directly related work experience without a formal degree.
