Learn more at https://www.jnj.com/medtech **We are searching for the best talent for Toolcrib Engineer Lead.** **Purpose:** Self- direct, or under limited or null supervision, works on complex by nature assignments, which require considerable criteria, judgment and initiative in order to solve problems and issue recommendations. The production equipment, repair, maintenance and calibration engineer is responsible for implementing, modifying and monitoring the quality, safety and efficiency of equipment and tooling use for production purposes. Assist engineers with developing, implementing and maintaining new/modified/current maintenance and calibration processes for tools and equipment. · Responsible for ensuring that all activities assigned to them in designated for E2E maintaining the expected levels of maintenance and calibration schedule program design in CMMS (Maximo IBM system) following the GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices). · Follow all maintenance and calibration procedures in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDPs), making observations and communicate them to their engineer for their equipment correction. · This position supports the platform within J&J MedTech. **You will be responsible for:** + Supervises the process of material management and warehousing through subordinates. • Prioritizes workloads, monitors, and adjusts daily work schedules, and distributes projects to ensure schedules are met. + Delegates and supervises work assignments to Tool Crib personnel ensuring continuous and efficient workflow. + Monitors the delivery schedules for materials, through a defined procurement process. + Keeps track of inventories and ensures the material is available when needed. + Cooperates with relevant departments to define materials inventory, inventory levels and delivery times, and establishes alignment with other supply chain partners. + Participates in developing the department budget, and on the correct management of this budget by adhering to cost controls + Addresses and resolves issues related to customer satisfaction, logistics, quality, and other factors related to the Tool Crib operation. + Schedules all routines required maintenance services on department equipment. + Arranges for general area upkeep, including repairs, painting, and maintenance + Develops and enforces procedures for the safe storage and movement of material in and out of the Tool Crib area. + Responsible for conducting a cycle count program. + Reconciles discrepancies and ensures that all items are stored safely in appropriate locations + Ensures compliance to the purchasing procedures (supplier selection, bid process, etc.), the purchasing system usage and the SOX regulations. **Qualifications / Requirements:** **EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION** + Degree of studies as a mechatronics electronics, mechanics, production, electro-mechanics, biomedics or industrial engineering. + At least 5 years of experience or more of the following disciplines: electronics, mechanics, production, electro-mechanics, testing, quality and production, process statistical control, biomedics or industrial engineering. + Generally, Requires minimum 2 Years Work Experience in calibration departments (only calibration engineer position) + Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience with measuring equipment such as optical comparator, vision systems, micrometers, verniers, pattern blocks, pressure and temperature standards, speed, time and dead weight, voltage generator, current and frequency. (Maintenance, calibration and CMMS positions) **REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES, AND AFFILIATIONS** + Ability for the resolution of failures, in aspects or areas of manufacturing. + Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish across functions and both internally/externally into work groups. + Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance, documentation, calibration procedures and quality systems, preferably. + Knowledge of the product manufactured by the Company. + Ability to use measuring and testing equipment associated with specific discipline. + Basic ability to read and understand technical documentation associated with specific discipline. + Capacity to successfully complete the departmental/corporate courses of training in manufacturing techniques. + Ability to learn about regulatory requirements (GMP and GDP). + Ability to use computers and related software. + Ability to learn and adhere to specific procedures according to the department training plan + Able to work in a Clean Room environment requiring gowning. + Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be able to support cross functional teams including Quality, Operations & Engineering. + Knowledge in maintenance management systems Maximum or similar is preferred + Knowledge in project management computer programs and statistical analysis required + Knowledge of FDA GPMS, ISO 13485 standard is preferred (only for calibration engineer position) \#LI-Onsite **Required Skills:** **Preferred Skills:** Business Data Analysis, Business Process Design, Business Savvy, Category Management Strategy, Coaching, Collaborating, Communication, Competitive Landscape Analysis, Compliant Spend, Contract Management, Critical Thinking, Data Analysis, Due Diligence, Market Savvy, Negotiation, New Program Development, Problem Solving, Process Oriented, Relationship Building, Risk Management, Spend Analysis, Supplier Collaboration, Sustainable Procurement, Vendor Selection
