Job DescriptionOur machining department is looking for a Tool Room Operator.
The position is responsible for the operational management of the tool warehouse and for providing effective support to production departments to ensure the availability, quality, and efficiency of tools required for machining operations.
The role involves quality control of tools (both incoming and in use), presetting, and tool clamping, while collaborating closely with production, purchasing, and quality teams to guarantee process continuity.
Main Responsibilities
Manage the tool warehouse and internal tool handling using dedicated software.Monitor stock levels, identify shortages, and manage reorders.Receive materials: check quantities and types, and record them in the system.Perform tool quality checks: physical measurements (manual or using presetting), compare with technical drawings, and manage non-conformities.Use presetting systems for tool measurement and for generating programs from the archive (preferably Zoller, though not mandatory).Clamp tools on tool holders using thermal or trilobular systems and verify proper balancing.Read and interpret mechanical drawings (views, sections, symbols, geometric tolerances, and dimensions).Use basic IT tools (Microsoft Office) and workshop/management software.Collaborate closely with the workshop and machining centers to support machining operations.QualificationsStrong knowledge of mechanical tools and clamping systems (ISO – HSK).Experience using presetting systems for dimensional tool control.Excellent understanding of technical drawings and geometric tolerances.Familiarity with warehouse management systems for tool handling.Knowledge of tool types, construction materials (HSS, carbide, PCD, etc.), cutting parameters (S/F), and tool wear characteristics.Preferably experienced in machining operations on machining centers.Good understanding of mathematics, geometry, and trigonometry.Profile Requirements
