Tool & Die Maker – Join Our Expert Tool Room Team - Relocation to Oregon offered! About the Role: We’re seeking a skilled and self-motivated Tool & Die Maker to join our talented Tool Room team. You’ll contribute to the design and machining of custom tooling, fixtures, and gages for a leading optics manufacturer. Work on projects such as, Gage making, One-hit dimple dies, and Automated fixturing. Responsibilities: Tool Design & Fabrication - - Design and develop tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and gages for manufacturing and assembly - Interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to build or modify tooling - Plan layouts, compute dimensions, and determine machining processes Machining & Assembly - - Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (lathe, mill, grinder) - Fabricate, fit, and assemble complex tooling components - Perform EDM, grinding, and pneumatic plumbing for fixturing Inspection & Quality - - Verify part conformance to specifications using precision measurement tools - Build, calibrate, and maintain production gauging systems - Manage calibration schedules, procedures, and database Troubleshooting & Maintenance- - Diagnose and resolve tool and die issues - Perform routine and preventive maintenance on tools and equipment Project & Team Involvement - - Participate in tooling development and R&D projects - Lead or support project teams, track milestones and timelines What We’re Looking For: - Strong skills and experience in CNC Machining, EDM, and Grinding. Manual machining is a plus but CNC knowledge is required. - High attention to detail and craftsmanship. - Ability to read blueprints and engineered drawings. - Passion for building high-quality, in-house solutions. - Team-oriented mindset with a drive for excellence. Schedule: Monday - Friday 6am - 2:30pm Offering relocation package for candidates out of state. Total relocation bonus is depending on where you are relocating from.
