This role requires advanced metalworking skills, experience with high-tolerance work, and the ability to contribute to design improvements. Ideal candidates will have hands-on CNC machining experience, strong blueprint interpretation abilities, and proficiency in SolidWorks for tool design and revision. ResponsibilitiesDesign and build metal stamping tools, fixtures, and dies from blueprints and CAD modelsCreate new tooling and modify existing components using SolidWorks and CNC machiningWork with engineering and production teams to optimize designs and improve efficiencyPerform maintenance, sharpening, and adjustments to dies and fixtures to sustain qualityTroubleshoot mechanical issues affecting tooling, die performance, or material flowEnsure all tooling meets ISO 9001:2015 compliance standards and customer specificationsOperate a variety of manual and CNC machines to execute tooling plansMaintain precise tolerances and quality across small and large batch runsDocument tooling activity, service history, and improvementsSupport lean manufacturing and continuous improvement effortsKeep workspace organized and compliant with safety guidelines Qualifications and Requirements2+ years’ experience in tool and die making with prototyping and die maintenance exposureExperience designing tools and dies using SolidWorks (required)Ability to fabricate from blueprints, sketches, and CAD modelsStrong knowledge of high-precision machining and CNC operationsProficiency with tight tolerance work and troubleshooting production tooling issuesUnderstanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical press systemsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical certifications preferredAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks throughout the shift Preferred QualificationsJourneyman Tool and Die Maker certificationLean manufacturing knowledge or Six Sigma familiarity Benefits and Perks$90,000–$110,000 base salary (depending on qualifications)Medical, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement plan options and PTOYour New OrganizationFounded in 1967, the company is a leader in precision metal stamping, custom tooling, and complex manufacturing solutions.
