We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Tool Action Officer to join our C-130 production build team. As the C130 Tool Action Officer, you will be responsible for surveilling the C130 production floor to ensure compliance with Marietta’s tool control program. You will work closely with production teams, tool services, quality control specialists and Government Ground Representative (GGR) to identify and correct non-conformities, trends and provide regular updates to leadership on the status of tool control.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
• Tool Oversight: Conduct regular inspections of tools within Automated Dispensing Units (ADUs), AccuCabs, Consolidated Tool Kits (CTKs), and Individual Tool Kits (ITKs) to ensure compliance with established procedures and standards. Identify and document non-compliances, discrepancies, or areas for improvement. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of tool surveillance, and issue resolution.
• Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve tool-related issues, tool distribution problems, policy non-compliance. Collaborate with relevant teams, such as engineering, tool services, and production operations.
• Proactive Approach: Conduct proactive surveillance to identify potential issues or non-compliances before they become major problems. Develop and maintain a knowledge base of tool-related issues, including root causes, symptoms, and solutions.
• Compliance and Governance: Ensure that all tool-related activities comply with contractual requirements, company policies, and corporate procedures.
• Continuous Improvement: Analyze tool performance data to identify trends, patterns, or areas for improvement. Coordinate with relevant support groups to assist in developing and implementing process improvements, including updates to procedures, or tool configurations when necessary.
• Communication and Collaboration: Provide regular reports and updates to stakeholders on tool performance, issues, and improvements.

Basic Qualifications:
• 5 years experience in a tool control related field.
• Proficiency with CribMaster or similar Tool Management Inventory System.
• Experience in leadership or mentoring roles.
• Experience in analyzing data, identifying trends/areas for improvement, and initiating Root Cause Corrective Action.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Fluent in MS Office products.
Desired Skills:
• Experience conducting process audits and surveillance.
• Experience communicating with customers and senior level management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with mechanics, production staff, tool services, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and with cross functional teams.
• Knowledge of quality and FOD control principles and practices.
• Experience in an aircraft manufacturing environment.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
