As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Corporate Finance Technology team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.
Job responsibilities
Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architectureContributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologiesDesign, develop, and maintain TM1/IBM Planning Analytics models, cubes, rules, and Turbo Integrator (TI) processesBuild and enhance financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting solutions aligned with business requirementsPerform complex data integration from multiple source systems into TM1 environmentsOptimize application performance through tuning of rules, processes, and cube structuresTroubleshoot technical issues and provide ongoing production supportSupport system upgrades, deployments, and environment managementPartner with business stakeholders to gather and analyze requirementsTranslate business needs into effective technical solutionsCreate and maintain comprehensive technical documentation
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience8+ years of hands-on experience to Experienced to support IBM Planning Analytics TM1 development, enhancements, and production support for enterprise financial planning and reporting applications Deep expertise in Turbo Integrator (TI) scripting, rules development, and cube designProven experience developing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting applicationsStrong SQL skills with demonstrated experience in data integration and ETL processesExcellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinkingStrong verbal and written communication skills with ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholdersComprehensive technical documentation experience
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Financial Planning experience with knowledge of General Ledger concepts and processesExperience with AWS cloud platform and cloud-based TM1 deploymentsExposure to IBM Planning Analytics Workspace (PAW)
