View Job Description Requirements / QualificationsAny other combination of experience, training, and/or education that could likely provide the desired knowledge, skills, and abilities may be considered. Education ? High school diploma or equivalent; AND ? A minimum of twelve (12) units of coursework in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development with an average equivalent of Grade B or better from a regionally accredited college or university; AND one of the following required by Education Code and Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA): ? Completion of 48 semester units at an institution of higher education; or ? Possession of an Associate’s (or higher) degree; or ? Passage of a local assessment of knowledge and ability to assist in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics Experience ? Experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational or child care setting is highly desirable. LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES ? Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification preferred ? A valid California driver’s license and vehicle insurance is required ? The availability of private transportation or the ability to provide transportation between job sites is required ? Additional fingerprinting requirements apply to incumbents assigned to Child Development Center sites
